Awaceb is a video game developer based in Bordeaux, France. The studio was founded in 2016 by Phil Crifo and Thierry Boura who hail from the small island of New Caledonia. The name they choose for their studio is New Caledonian slang that roughly translates to "It's all good", or "No worries". Due to New Caledonia's remoteness and lack of developer talent, the studio was based in France. Its first game was Fossil Echo which was released in 2016. At this time, the studio only had two developers plus a composer and several sound designers. Over the years, the studio grew substantially. The studio's latest game, Tchia, was released on March 21st, 2023 and was published by Kepler Interactive.[1]
